About

We consider the most relevant research on health and relationships, and weave it into therapy, innovative wilderness retreats, and experiential workshops.

It is our mission to empower individuals and couples to create a robust foundation of love, health, and connection through immersive wilderness retreats, therapeutic services, and other experiential workshops and events. We are committed to a lifetime of personal development and relational growth, recognizing that we are imperfect human beings on a continual journey of cultivating greater health, joy, and connection.

Hannah Eaton, M.S., LMFT

I am the founder of Sequoia Immersions and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT-  #LF61025101) in the state of Washington. I integrate years of experience providing therapy, leading wilderness trips, and designing therapeutic experiences for groups that weave together research-based principles, creative expression, mind-body connection, and the natural environment.

I worked at the The Gottman Institute as a Program Manager of Psychoeducation for several years, and continue to work part-time as a research assistant in the Gottman “Love Lab.” In addition, I have trained in Gottman Couples Method Level Three, am a Gottman Seven Principles Leader and Bringing Baby Home Educator, and am a member of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapists. I have also worked as a wilderness guide for therapeutic and educational companies for the past 10 years, and am trained as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR).

My husband, Connor, joins me in leading transformative retreats for proactive couples looking to cultivate greater love, health, and connection in their relationships. We met in our University Outdoor Club, and have been exploring and leading trips together for a combined 15+ years. Married for ten years, and together for twelve, we understand the highs and lows that can come with such intimate relationships. In addition to our background in wilderness guiding, we are both Gottman Seven Principles Leaders, and integrate these time-tested skills and principles into our couples wilderness immersions.

When I’m not seeing clients or leading retreats, I love to go on my own adventures with my husband and son, trail run, surf, dance, write, work on film projects, garden, sew, cook, bike backpack, swim, and spend time with my family and friends.

Values

Elevated Relationships

We believe that our relationships to ourselves, our significant others, and the greater world don’t have to be lukewarm. Rather, we believe that they can thrive and serve as abundant sources of joy, strength, and empowerment. We support you to create your preferred story, with the type of life and relationships you desire.

One Size Doesn’t Fit All

We understand that everyone is unique and may need a specific type of program to support them in their growth journey. Because of this, we offer a variety of services: in-person and online therapy, group immersion retreats, and customized wilderness retreats. We are committed to meeting your style and needs.

Care for the Planet

We believe that our relationship to the natural world is critical to our health and well-being, as well as the health and longevity of our ecosystem. We stress the importance of taking time to slow down and immerse ourselves in nature, and are committed to human-nature connection and environmental stewardship.

The Whole Person

We believe in the power and value of various contributing factors to health, happiness, and resilience. We take an integrated approach, considering mind-body-spirit, and regularly weave in mindfulness exercises, movement, and creative expression, if talk therapy alone is not your thing.
